Napa Valley, about 1 hour north of SF. Not only wine, but the great city of Calistoga is famous for its hot springs and baths. The two places I recommend is Soliage in Calistoga. This is a new complex with all amenities and a variety of spa treatments, restaurant and swimming pool. My other option is also India Springs Resort in Calistoga. Both are in the vicinity of the city where you can walk or bike Soliage are also free with all rooms.
